A few pictures from Thanksgiving 2009. We had the whole family there except Burk (he probably ate jail-house burritos). 2 turkeys, one in the oven, and one deep fried. Fun times.

Alive and well. And big.
I took Carter to the doctor today. Jaida and Mya came as well. Taking 3 kids anywhere is exhausting, especially the doctor. And I'm pretty sure the doctor was exhausted by the end as well as she endured the constant noise coming from my 3 children.
After a lengthy conversation (we don't usually need to talk to the doctor much considering I happen to have a personal doctor at my disposal anytime--thank you dad) with the doctor, it was determined that Carter is a baby. :) And will outgrow many of his ailments. Perfect.
So today we're grateful he's healthy. Albeit with colic and reflux.
Last night he projectile vomited across the kitchen. It was awesome. And then he fell asleep. After hours and hours of crying.
But in all honesty, it has become my normal and we're tolerating it pretty well. Because I can still squeeze and kiss him when he's crying. Which sometimes makes him more mad. And then makes me laugh. Which I need sometimes when I'm on the verge of crying right along with him.
He weighs 14 pounds. 14 pounds. He's 2 months old. Try lugging around a 14 pound watermelon for 4-5 hours every night. It's a killer on the back. Thank you Lortab!
For reference, Jaida weighed 16 pounds when she turned one. Pretty sure this kid is going to be romping (it's a word) on his sisters in no time. It'll be good for them.
So a note to myself:
Dear Lindsay,
In a few years when you think it's time to have another baby (yes, I still want more), just remember. And then re-consider. :) And then have one anyway because they're more than worth it.

The Beach
While we were at Disneyland, we stopped at the beach. My girls love to play in the sand. And Jaida ventured out into the water. So did her cousin. And then they got brave. And went a little too far. And Jaida's cousin nearly got swept out to sea. Kind of scary at the time as she was being tossed in the waves, but a little funny afterward. It took her parents about 20 minutes to get all the sand off her and her clothes. Poor kid. Thankfully Jaida was able to escape. I can only imagine the drama that would have followed a fight with the ocean.

Disneyland. Finally.
Oh Disneyland. You were everything we imagined. We had a blast. We talked Mike's brother and sister into going with us. Besides being pregnant and miserable and not being able to ride anything, it was a successful trip. The girls loved the princess's. We spent ridiculous amounts of time tracking them down. Mya did NOT like the dressed up characters (anyone in a big suit). She was particularly not fond of Pluto. She screamed. Hysterically. Jaida's favorite ride was the tea cups. That was one of the few moments I was glad I was pregnant. Mike took her on those more times than I can remember. Mya didn't want to ride anything. At one point she said she'd "stay and watch the strollers for us." Nice try. I forced her to go on Dumbo. She cried the entire time we were in line. And of course ended up loving it. I don't think it will be a trip we do often, but we may go back sometime. I think we're more cut out for Lake Powell, but we had a ton of fun.
And now I give you Disneyland in pictures. Starting with my favorite. Only because it makes me laugh outloud everytime. I know what Mike was trying to do but it just looks funny.
