He made it!
Caleb Michael Ross
8 lbs 9 oz.
They say 21 inches but I think he's longer than that.
Things went well. We're still in "survival" mode. Four kids is craziness.
And I'm quickly realizing how hard it is to even take pictures. Treading water around here.

D-day minus one and a conversation.
Tomorrow is the big day. I'm not officially due until December 11th but my doctor has mercy and is inducing me tomorrow. To say I'm nervous would be an understatement. Yes, I've done this 3 times, but it never gets easier. In fact, I'd say I'm more nervous this time than I ever have been before. Not sure why. I was watching "A Baby story" on TLC today and had to shut it off because I couldn't breathe. Birthing babies isn't easy. And is nothing short of a miracle if everything goes "right". Not looking forward to what I have to do tomorrow, but definitely looking forward to snuggling a newborn. And praying that Carter tolerates being away from his mom for 2 days. The longest I've left him is 5 or 6 hours. 48 hours will probably be hard for both of us. The girls are just excited to have a sleepover at Aunt Kelli's.
The girls have asked some questions about how babies get out of mom's tummy's. I figured it was easier to just tell them the truth than to make up something. So I did. Tell them the truth. And today, the following conversation took place on the way to school.
Mya: "Mom, where is the baby's head?"
Me: "It's down here and his legs are up here" pointing to my belly to show her
Mya: "Oh good. Then he can come out your bum instead of cutting open your belly. Well, not out your bum, but out your baby hole that's next to your bum."
Apparently she absorbed more than I gave her credit for. If anyone needs to educate their kids on how babies come out, my 5 year old can do it for you. You're welcome.
Mya also chastised me for not having a name for the baby and said we better hurry up.
Still no name. We'll decide when we have to. We're under pressure kind of decision makers.
Time to hunker down. Newborn phase is about to commence. Please pray that this baby is nice. As in doesn't cry for 8 hours every.single.day. Be nice baby. Be nice. We're excited to meet you!!
