Dress-up.

My girls LOVE dress-up. I loved dress-up when I was little too, but I did "ugly" dress-up. They actually like to look pretty. :)

Does this dress make me look fat?

Serious choking hazard.

It's only a matter of time before her feelings get her. :(

And people said it wouldn't last. . .

. . .not really. At least I hope people didn't say that.
Mike and I have officially made it SIX YEARS!!! Happy Anniversary to us.
We ate a romantic breakfast around the kitchen counter--cinnamon rolls. Yum. Then Mike spent the morning fixing sprinklers, and I spent the afternoon and evening shooting a wedding.
Truly the romantics!
And now is my cue to write all the reasons why I love Mike, but I don't want to make the rest of you feel bad because my husband is cooler than yours. So I'll spare you. But he is. . . .cooler than anyone else's husband.
Here's to six years and many, many, many more to come!!!!
Maybe one day I won't be lazy and try and track down a picture of us on our wedding day. Then again, maybe not.

THANK YOU!!!

Thank you to all who added my photo blog to your blogs! I've gotten several hits from many blogs already. GREATLY appreciated!
Mastercraft here we come!! :)

The Great outdoors!

I'm always surprised to find there are people who actually don't like camping? Seriously? What are you doing in Utah? WE LOVE CAMPING!!! What's not to like. . .dirt, bugs, rain storms, tents, sleeping bags, bears, scary toilets, NO toilets. . . . Seriously though, we really do love it. And for some reason, food always tastes better when camping. Same thing in lake Powell. We went up American Fork canyon, drove around forever, finally found a great spot, got rained on (but just a little bit), and the girls slept better than they have since they were born. I'm thinking of just pitching a tent in the backyard and sleeping there from now on. :)
Ooh, and the smells. . .campfire mixed with pine. Yum.

Checking the place out and trying to figure out what in the world we were doing.Mike the pyro.
Mmmm....FIRE.

Enjoying their hotdogs.
And tin foil dinners for everyone else.

Just for the record, I did NOT give her the Coke. I also didn't take it away.
Jammin to some tunes in the car while we waited for a little rain to pass.

This is the cobbler cooking. I really wish I would have gotten a picture of the finished product. For some reason, it looked like meatloaf. But it still tasted fine. So we ate meatloaf looking cobbler. Gotta love camping.

Just after her chocolate donut breakfast.

Can't wait to go again! Anyone wanna come? :)

Why did the chicken cross the road. . .

Jaida and her friend were telling jokes to each other. Her friend asked "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side" which I don't think Jaida had heard before.
Jaida then responded "Why did the chicken cross the road?" The answer "To get run over by a car" She then proceeded to describe who was in the car that ran over the chicken and how they weren't wearing their seatbelts so they got in a car accident and had to ride in wheelchairs. (yea, we pound in the seatbelt wearing thing).

This all took place just after Jaida and her friend had finished taking their poly pocket princesses to see the baby Jesus.

More Jaida news.
Apparently once you're 4 years old, it entitles you to do pretty much whatever you want.
"I can use scissors--I'm 4. . . .I can use glitter glue--I'm 4. . . .I can stay outside later--I'm 4" and on and on and on.

We (mike and I) have started the ridiculous parental "trick" of counting. You know, ONE, TWO. . . . . .big pause. . .you better get here before i count to THREE! Thankfully most the time it works. However, on Jaida's "special" days she likes to finish the counting for us. Pretty sure that's now how it's supposed to work. To be honest, I'm not even sure what happens if you get to three. :)

A little help please!

Yo. All you fellow bloggers out there. If you could do me a favor I'd appreciate it. Since I only advertise my photog business by word of mouth, it would be super helpful if you'd all put a link to my photo blog on YOUR blogs.
You can either put the blog address: www.lindsayrossphotography.blogspot.com or the website address www.lindsayrossphotography.com
If you do it, we'll take you on our boat (when we buy it. . . .because we will buy one. . .no matter what. . .hopefully soon!).

And if you don't have a blog. Get one. Or just spread the word.

Thanks.

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. . .

Ever since the little boy down the street learned to ride a bike (thanks Dianna), Jaida has been insisting that when she turned four she was taking her training wheels off her bike. Then the little girl across the street (who is a week younger than Jaida) decided she was ready to learn to ride a bike. So, being a competetive Ross, Jaida wanted her wheels off too. So we padded her up and expected the worse. I'll admit, I was a bit surprised that within a few tries, she was off. And now she is officially a no training wheels girl!!

Look Mom, no training wheels.

Steady. . .

Getting a little braver.

And there she goes.

Mya cheering her on.

Non-homecoming talks

In response to several requests, my parents are speaking in their ward on Sunday to report on their mission to Ghana. Their meeting is at 1pm in the Pepperwood Chapel (just before you enter the west entrance of pepperwood). Anyone who has heard them speak knows it will be well worth going. Oh, and maybe don't mention I put this on my blog because I'm not sure Kate (that's my mom's nickname when she's feisty) probably won't be too happy about it. :) Sure do mom.

A little advertising for McDonalds.

99 cent XL Diet coke. Mmmmm... Caffeine free of course. We're in Utah county now. :)
**Edited to add: I was kidding about the caffeine free. What's the point of drinking it if there's no caffeine? Seriously.**

Baby thighs don't get much better than these.
This is when I started to get a little closer to her and she was afraid "her" drink was in jeopardy. So she's pointing at me saying "no no".
