Jaida and her friend were telling jokes to each other. Her friend asked "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side" which I don't think Jaida had heard before.
Jaida then responded "Why did the chicken cross the road?" The answer "To get run over by a car" She then proceeded to describe who was in the car that ran over the chicken and how they weren't wearing their seatbelts so they got in a car accident and had to ride in wheelchairs. (yea, we pound in the seatbelt wearing thing).
This all took place just after Jaida and her friend had finished taking their poly pocket princesses to see the baby Jesus.
More Jaida news.
Apparently once you're 4 years old, it entitles you to do pretty much whatever you want.
"I can use scissors--I'm 4. . . .I can use glitter glue--I'm 4. . . .I can stay outside later--I'm 4" and on and on and on.
We (mike and I) have started the ridiculous parental "trick" of counting. You know, ONE, TWO. . . . . .big pause. . .you better get here before i count to THREE! Thankfully most the time it works. However, on Jaida's "special" days she likes to finish the counting for us. Pretty sure that's now how it's supposed to work. To be honest, I'm not even sure what happens if you get to three. :)

Drew counts for me too when I start the One, two, three thing. It's like what the heck am I supposed to do now?
P.S. I've had your blog link on my blog for months now. You owe us a trip to Lake Powell.
"One, Two, Three, Magic" is the best book about how to use counting! I love it. ;)
Where the H*^^% have you been.. I haven't seen you in a long time.. Okay so I looked at your website and NOW I hate you even more.... cause you are so dang talented. Oh and Jaden has a crush on Jaida.....He says they are boy and girl friends.. what ever that means
Ethan counts for me, too. But he yells at me, and proceeds to get louder as the numbers get higher. If "one" is loud, then "two" is screamin'...he is one loud kid, but maybe I should take note of my parenting techniques that don't work anyway!
