I need a good white noise machine. Not an expensive one though. And one that can run off batteries OR plug-in. And I want it to actually make a white-noise sound (or sound like a fan). I don't need the ocean, or forest, or rainstorm. . . .I don't care if it has those sounds too, but it definitely needs white noise.
Anyone have one they love? And where'd you get it? Help!

White-noise. Sounds like a fan. And I need 3 to 4 of them. Maybe because now I can't sleep without a fan going too. And I want one for the girls and the baby on the way. And one to take camping, or Lake Powell, or other places without power. :) I'm pathetic.

I have one, but it was a gift so I have no idea where it came from. It's like a crystal ball and it makes several different sounds, but the white noise sounds like white noise. That's about all I could tell you about it and if we didn't use it I'd give it to you but Drew uses it every night. Sorry. Good luck.

Serious???? Does that really work? I hate noise ,but I have not been sleeping well lately either. Does that really work? I loved the ocean for my kids! That is what I am going to get "Baby Boy Devyre'" when he is born, an ocean!!!

Okay, I have two that I use and I SWEAR BY white noise. We just took both to Lake Powell and they are wonderful for on a houseboat with a million people. I'll go check the brand today when I have a sec (I'm two stories down), but if you don't hear from me, email me.
Both short out once in awhile, but a good whack brings the noise back.
