We've been going to St. George every Memorial Day weekend since I was 7 years old. I think the only year we missed was when my parents went on a mission. Most of those years, we stay at the Greene House (now called the Greene Manor) close to the St. George temple. It's an old restored pioneer house that fits our family nicely. We have the house and bunk house to ourselves, including the pool and tennis court. It's a blast. Jeremy decided to get married this year over Memorial Day weekend so we postponed the St. George trip to Labor Day.
This was Carter's first year. He was hard. True to form. So it wasn't very relaxing for Mike and I, but the girls had a blast. And we still had a little fun too.
The girls lived in the pool. They put their swimsuits on first thing in the morning, and only got out to pee (yes, our girls actually don't pee in pools) and to eat. Then back in the pool they went.
Much of the time was spent riding bikes into the pool. If you haven't seen the video of my dad doing this, you missed out. Search through the blog to find it. It's worth it.
This was one of his first introductions to a pool and he didn't last long. So sometimes even putting on his swimsuit wasn't worth the effort.
My mom reeeeeally likes having her picture taken.
My special needs nephew. Love ya Khale.
Shane serenaded us all by the pool. He's quite good on the guitar and has a very nice singing voice. Really, he does.
They did this over, and over, and over, and over.......
Pretty sure grandpa's don't come any cooler than this one.
Love this one of my two boys.
All the John and Kathy Thueson grandkids. They were thrilled about doing this. :) It's hard to tell, but by this time in the trip Carter had contracted some sort of cold that glued his eyes shut. It was so nasty. Booger eyes. Red, sore, booger eyes. It's just added to his already easy going demeanor. :)
My dad helping me test the light. He does it with style.
The whole gang. We have years and years of photos in this same spot with the different groups of people who have gone to the Greene House with us. It's like our second home. Love it.
